    Forte Belanger Wins National Catering Award for Best Dessert

    Forte Belanger, Michigan’s leading special event design and catering firm, recently won a national award from Catersource Magazine for “Best Dessert.” Forte Belanger’s winning dessert entry for this national competition was a Passion Fruit Mousse Praline Crisp.

    The award was presented as part of Catersource Magazine’s first annual Recipe Contest, and the winners were announced at the annual Catersource Conference and Tradeshow held recently in Las Vegas. Catersource is nationally recognized as the industry’s leading publication for caterers.

    The winning recipe was the creation of Executive Chef Kenny Rae at Forte Belanger. In addition to this year’s Catersource Award, Forte Belanger has won other prestigious awards, including “Best Caterer” in 2009 for the sixth consecutive year by the readers of HOUR Detroit Magazine as well as named “Best Caterer” in 2006, 2008 and 2009 by the readers of Michigan Meetings + Events magazine.
