Randy Mathy Jr., Executive Chef
This chef followed his father’s footsteps straight to the kitchen.
As an 8-year-old, Randy spent Saturdays in the kitchen with his dad. His love for being in the kitchen prompted him to pursue a career in culinary arts rather than engineering. Not long afterward, he found himself manning the stoves as a corporate chef, designing, creating and managing the dining experience at a local headquarters for one of the world’s most valuable brands.
In addition to handling kitchen staffing, Randy is one of Forte Belanger’s culinary experts that designs menus, creates original recipes, and puts every dish through rigorous testing from prep to plating to ensure event-readiness.
For Chef Randy, the best part of his role is getting great feedback from happy guests. “Knowing you made an event special for a guest is the best gratification by far,” he says.
What’s one detail that transforms an event?
The little surprises—whether it’s an unexpected flavor, a creative presentation, or a warm personal touch—that make guests say, “Wow, I didn’t see that coming!”
Treat every guest like they’re the guest of honor. If people feel seen, valued, and taken care of, they’ll remember the experience long after the last bite.
