    Troy’s Forte Belanger Named Preferred Caterer for GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights

    TROY, Mich. – Forte Belanger, one of the largest special event design firms and corporate caterers in Metro-Detroit, announces preferred caterer status at the GM Heritage Center for external client events.

    “The GM Heritage Center has become one of the premier large event venues in the area and Forte Belanger is proud to be a preferred caterer for events at this unique facility,” said John Forte, president of Forte Belanger.

    Forte said General Motors is making its Heritage Center available to corporations and non-profit organizations not affiliated with General Motors and who are seeking a “one of a kind” venue to host events. The facility, which opened in 2004, was originally used for internal GM activities only. The 81,000-square -foot GM Heritage Center, located at 6400 Center Drive, Sterling Heights, Mich., features nearly 200 exceptional classic GM vehicles, along with historic artifacts and exhibits documenting the rich 100-year history of General Motors.

    “As we move into our second century, we want to share GM’s rich heritage with a wider audience,” said Greg Wallace, manager of the Heritage Center. “The GM Heritage Center is set up to host both corporate meetings and large events of up to 600 people, and we are excited about offering the facility to organizations looking for a unique venue to host events.”

    Wallace said he Heritage Center features a 60,000-square-foot exhibition hall, a 1,400 -square -foot lobby for receptions, a large conference room with amenities, state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, intelligent lighting system, a wide-variety of event supplies, and complete catering services from Forte Belanger of Troy.

    “The GM Heritage Center is able to create just the right atmosphere and tailor the mood of the space to your particular event needs,” said John Forte.
